Factors such as strength, stretch, diameter and material all play a role in selecting the best marine rope. If you're unsure, our team can recommend the most suitable sailing rope for your boat and requirements.

Question 2

Question 8

How often should sailing ropes be replaced?

Accepted Answer

There is no fixed replacement schedule for sailing ropes, as lifespan depends on usage, environmental conditions and maintenance. Sailing ropes should be inspected regularly for signs of wear, including fraying, flattening, discolouration, stiffness or damaged cores. Heavily used ropes may need replacing sooner, while well-maintained ropes used occasionally can last for many years. Replacing worn sailing ropes helps maintain safety, performance and reliability on the water.
